scroooooooogeee

I’m really starting to hate the work ethic in this place. It’s as if all Cedar Point cares about is squeezing the pockets of every guest as dry as it legally can. Everyday before work starts we’re supposed to put our hands in huddle and shout something and its always something to do with money grubbing. Stuff like “I’m a hustler!!” or “Money money money!!” makes it difficult for me to muster any enthusiasm for the day ahead knowing a whole bunch of people are going to go home thinking me a liar and a cheat. And you can’t even just try to do things your way and give the guests a fair chance to win something. There are cameras in every game (notice the plural) watching us every second to make sure we don’t make the games any easier for the players. We can’t even give little kids chances. The other day my supervisor called for a meeting after work which she used as an opportunity to bitch at us for honestly nothing much at all. But some of the stuff she said shocked me quite a bit. In her own words

“I don’t care if it’s a little girl at your game and you’re taking the last of her lunch money. She’s an idiot for spending it anyway. Go ahead and bleed them dry. I don’t want to see money in guests’ hands for more than 2 seconds before it’s in yours.”

I mean, WTH. Not only that but they encourage us to cheat the guests whenever we can. My supervisor actually got angry with me when I refused to give out a defective prize to a guest.

“They wouldn’t even have noticed if you’d just given it to them!! And if they brought it back we could just say they did it themselves!!”

It’s really telling when you go to work and hope you get fired everyday.
